Btw the only reason the EoS happened now was that they ran out of the 2nd format's card pool, which meant to implement the 3rd format, they would need to rehaul the game very extensively. Also, in Zero, because they're playing by a different set of rules that failed to actually simplify the game length-wise, instead gameplay dimension-wise, there is no way to neatly implement the gift system that the 3rd game is very heavily based on, with a very incompetent team to boot Huh... that makes a lot of sense.
