A friend of mine also moved to Japan like 3 months ago for a teaching job. definitely was the right thing for me. it was a dream come true. But dreams end... and teaching is a dead end over here. I'm a full time classroom teacher (not an assistant anymore) and I still earn less than I did 6 years ago, PLUS the yen is in the garbage right now so I might not even break $20,000 this year.
