MGS1 remains the best despite recent years piling on it for outdated gameplay mechanics -- it's still the most tightly-built game and the only one I can stand to follow the cinematics for anymore. Longer cutscenes we're the thing that became outdated for me in this series more than anything. Fantastic trilogy.
