If she expected anything, it was probably not being snapped at by someone for no reason other than politely asking him something. Which, to normal people, is a reasonable expectation.

Nah, anyone starting a conversation like that, is asking for money 9/10. You could have said "No, sorry.", rather than "go away", which would have been more polite.

Ah yes, all those panhandlers that store owners leave roaming around inside their businesses to accost their customers for money
