Like I love Rocky movies, but I would still call Rocky 2 kinda shitty in the context of the first movie. How about this: unnecessary sequels that were especially shittier than the first movie. The real cream of the crap, the ones with zero reason to exist both past and present. Ones the retroactively ruin the first one, and poison the legacy of a much better film. Like John Wick 2 is kinda unnecessary, but also those movies are fantastic action flicks as a whole and the third movie is GOAT tier. Smokey and the Bandit 2 or Cannonball Run 2 are formulaic retreads that ruin exceptional popcorn fare. --- People say friends don't destroy one another - what do they know about friends?
