They don't want to keep the meat slaves around, they want useful turnover as the old meat gets tossed out and new meat replaces it. No use keeping the serfs alive when there are always more serfs being made every day. Easier to brainwash the younger ones as well. This relies on a good turnover of people, but as is people have a bleak enough view on life to have a dropping birthrate. Children also have a long gestation period so to recoup those losses, they need people to be profitable for as long as possible. --- Doctor Foxx posted...
