NXT Bayley was a journey from a starstruck naive character to one who was still optimistic but learned how to stick up for herself and overcome. It was a really great story Yes but like I feel like we're talking about different things here. I'm saying Alexa is good because she's good at letting her weasel jackass heel persona flow into matches with the style she puts on her moves, jawing with the fans/ref, etc etc. You guys are saying "Bayley didn't get her story told" and "Becky can cut good promos if given time" Which is fine but it has nothing to do with how they wrestle Like I've never seen Bayley wrestle with a twinge of clumsiness or the feeling of someone who doesn't have a plan or whatever, nor does she often feel super sympathetic with the way she sells and whatnot. Becky like, if we're gonna play off the Irishness then she should have a bit of a meanstreak in her matches. If we're gonna play off her PURE HEART then she should be better at like, hope spots or something. It's hard to describe but like, I've seen it done well before. Mayumi Ozaki was awesome at this kinda stuff. I'm having trouble thinking of a good WWE analogue-- Trish maybe was better at this, at least. --- No problem!
