First time the show blatantly fucks its own continuity. i doubt it's the first. but yeah it was abjectly terrible. i think you can partially blame diferent episodes having different writing staffs and directors for this one. each crew is focused on its own episode, making it as dramatic as possible. 7x04's crew was focused on having a cool ending for that episode; 7x05's crew didn't feel dealing with that added anything. the result: utter bullshit. --- yet all sailors of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ...
