It was all over a single couple's dumb breakup problems. Everyone involved in that should have their computers burst into flames for making me listen to it.

It wasn't about anything but society's spontaneous lack of social cues and when you slap a screen in front of them, and suddenly everyone is having meltdowns over people they've never met.

Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.

Few things:

1) It showed how the reviewers were rather literally in bed with game companies

2) It was the culmination of much larger issues which had been simmering over a longer period of time including, among other things, ethics in video game journalism which was one of the focal points and tied directly to the initial controversy.
