I guess I don't think much of that angle because I think that if a pardon is issued to a family member it starts an inevitable chain that leads to the question of "can a self-pardon actually happen?" And that dwarfs the other legal detail questions in my mind. But I have no problem admitting that if you don't share my thoughts on that matter you could reach a different conclusion.
