There was a time before I searched Plant Man on Google and clicked a music link. Before Gary Young's Plantman burned itself into my brain, destroying my will to exist on this planet any longer.

The song plays in my mind, on an endless loop. There is no escape. No peace. All thought has been replaced by the incessant droning of this...person.

Mega Man 4 was ruined forever when I researched the characters in it. Mega Man 6 was ruined forever when I searched for Plant Man. The sad part is that I used to like the Robot Master. He was bright & colorful & "robot plant" was such an absurd concept that it made me laugh.

There is no laughter now. Only the pain that comes from having a wretched noise echoing in your mind for all eternity. I fear I shall never again know peace.

Okay, now that I'm back to whatever passes for normal with me, I can get back to this. Plant Man is the second greatest Robot Master in history.

"Plant Man's original sprite from Mega Man 6 is interesting in the sense that it breaks the 3 color limitation that sprites usually have, instead having 5 different colors (green, purple, pink, yellow, and the usual skin color) along with black and white."

I told you he was colorful, but did you ever notice that he's so colorful he actually breaks the rules about how colorful a sprite can be? Plant Man does not care about your puny, 8-bit systems' weaknesses!

"Interestingly enough Plant Man is weak to Gyro Attack in Mega Man: The Power Battle but in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters Gyro Man is weak to Plant Barrier (Plant Man's weakness having been switched to Atomic Fire), so both bosses switch weaknesses between games."

Plant Man isn't just awesome enough that he appears in both Arcade games, he actually switches his weaknesses to confuse you. Oh, you remember him being weak to Gyro Man? HA! The weaknesses have been flipped, so now what are you gonna do?

Win anyway because Plant Man isn't the best fighter, okay, I will give you that. And maybe Plant Barrier is just a prettier version of Leaf Shield. And it's weaker, as it strangely does not protect you from the Robots that are weak to it. He doesn't need a good weapon, because he can create his own minions. In Power Fighters 2, he can plant seeds that grow into little sentry turret plants that help him shoot at you. And at his highest difficulty, he can actually create flying robot plants.

That's right, he has an infinite army of flying robot plants. Does your favorite Robot Master do anything that awesome? NO. NO THEY DO NOT. Unless your favorite is Pharaoh Man, in which case, yeah Pharaoh Man is definitely the best.

{FUN FACT: To keep myself surprised throughout this ranking, I only looked up where a select few songs placed in the combined ranking and had no idea Plant Man was up next. My "eventually" comment wasn't to throw people off track; I didn't see it coming either!
