The weird thing is, a lot of democratic party officials here are much more progressive than I am, but almost all of the elected officials are very not progressive; I've spent lots of time messaging against democratic reps that subsequently switched parties to GOP for example I think I'm going to at least meet the new chairman of the democratic party of arkansas before I finalize my decision, though. He and I cut our teeth on state politics at the same time, and I remember meeting him before he became a state rep. I don't imagine he'll change my mind, but it is possible --- He would make his mark, if not on this tree, then on that wall; if not with teeth and claws, then with penknife and razor. ...
