I'm sure it's just me, but I'm getting a very "Lufia & The Fortress of Doom" vibe from this song. Maybe one of the Battle Themes?

Not quite, but there's something about the two tracks... the choice of instruments or something? I don't know, but everytime I start this Wily Stage theme, I immediately have Lufia 1 flashbacks.

Also, this is Junk Man's theme again. Wily 3, Wily 4, and Junk Man are all remixes of the same song for some reason.

{EDIT: YouTube comment on Junk Man's stage: "For some strange reason When I hear this I think of The 2nd Battle Theme from Lufia and The Fortress of Doom. Both songs sound very similar"

So someone else does hear it! I linked to the wrong battle theme though, but still, I'm not the only one getting heavy Lufia flashbacks from this.

I remember turn-based RPG songs more clearly than other games. The more action packed the game is, the less I'm focusing on music; very slow turn-based games like Lufia are more likely to leave an impression because there's just not much else to pay attention to while grinding for experience points.}
