A five second loop that you will be sick of before it even finishes once. A terrible start to what turned out to be the last game and ranked and--SPOILERS!!--the worst. I think there was only one song I liked in this entire game.

Also, I think I may hate Auto himself. I don't get the name--did Capcom of America name him that just because he drove a vehicle in the opening scene? If so, that makes it incredibly stupid that he isn't playable in Battle & Chase. The robot named for vehicles, who is the only character with his own vehicle, only appears on loading screens.

His Japanese name, "Rightot", is somehow even worse. The only thing I can come up with is that it's a combination of Dr. Right and Robot, which may be the least descriptive name in the history of characters. It'd be like if Disney named his character "Dismouse".

And why does the game act like we should know him? He just appears suddenly in the 7th game, but it acts like he's some long-term assistant to the good doctor that we should have heard about by now.

And the one good thing about Auto was removed by Capcom of America! In the Japanese version, you could get Dr. Light, Roll, or Auto to comment on the weapons you obtain. Auto makes terrible jokes about the weapons, but he's amazed by Slash Man's weapon, commenting that's it's just like Strider Hiryu. That was funny and practically justified Auto's existence by itself. So naturally they removed it, because 7 had the worst translation of any game in the Classic series.

{One of the biggest gaps between how I felt about a song (fourth worst song in the entire ranking topic) and how it wound up in my personal rankings, jumping up so many ranks based entirely on the fact that I strongly disliked Auto himself. There are a lot of reasons counting write-up length as a category was a bad idea, but most of them are best exemplified by this ranking alone.

...though I kinda enjoy things I can make fun of, so the fact that I hate Auto means that I kinda like Auto? It's...weird, but while I hated him when this started, this whole scenario is funny enough that I don't know if I really mind him at all now. Certainly don't like him, but...

EDIT: Also, in retrospect, I wouldn't say seven was the worst and I'd say there was more than one song I liked. It was just...disappointing and less memorable than other games?}
