The country actively chose to destroy it's legitimacy because their hatred of hte other is what mattered more to them. Trump has damaged all of out relationships, soft power and economy beyond repair we're just waiting for the full collapse now, even if somehow he's ousted from power in 3 years for a democrat their term will be a disaster trying to fix Trump's fuck ups all while dealing with a media telling the public what they're doing is straight up not working and making things worse while on another end the republicans will run to the supreme court to block anything the democrat president tries to do by executive order because rules are only for democrats to follow and on another end the senate and congress even with both in dem control in theory there'd be bastards like Fetterman in there to make sure the dems don't accomplish much which will piss off progressives who in tern will blast the hell ouot of the dem because bernie got screwed again or whatever.
