Racism and low information voters are what got us here in general.pretty much my coworker is a white woman who voted for Trump because "Kamala is unqualified" and "illegal immigrants are ruining the economy and hurting her husband's business" (note it's a very small business). she was confused why RFK Jr was on state ballots after he dropped out, and uses language like "choosing lifestyles" to describe LGBTQ+ individuals. the cognitive disconnect is unfathomable to me.
