I can actually type almost as fast as I can speak. Like I could see it being a big upgrade if you were bad at typing, I guess. If you're typing like 80 WPM though you're not getting a huge upgrade there. I think the average person talks a little over 100 WPM so yeah. There of course is the added reading time vs listening time but I don't really think that adds all that much either, especially when most urgent thoughts can probably be conveyed through using the map ping without elaboration.
But I'd probably really need to use Vent more often to have a good idea of how big a difference it has-- but then again, as I said, don't really care enough to bother aside from research purposes.
Next time I get wrangled into that I'll claim I'm doing research. It'll make me feel less power gamey and better about myself.
