Sona's a lot easier to get in range of her Hymn of Valor and Power Chord than Soraka is to get in range of Starcall, so it's easier to play Sona as not strict support and actually contribute some offense.
If you are taking Starcall on Soraka you are doing it wrong.
Also you harass with her excellent autoattack animation and her E.
Though I will fully admit I have no idea what I'm doing with Soraka, are you saying that it is in fact easy to get in range of Starcall or that I shouldn't be thinking about "contributing offense" as Soraka.
