Cass just can't do the same thing because she has to get into someone's face, while urgot derps at ultra-long range and if the other guy closes in he has a billion tools to guarantee victory. This is why they're not alike: Urgot is ALL about winning the lane decisively, Cass is about farming your core items and laying waste to a teamfight through mad deeps. It's not worth it to compare them. Caitlyn is arguably a better fit, or, as you said, Ryze.
