How did you pull this off? My EFC is too high so I barely get any money for my (relatively) cheap tuition and it leaves me barely scraping by at this point. If my EFC were lower I would get more money in loans and I could live better and focus on my grades more.

I live in a two-person household with just me and my mom (working, but couldn't get enough hours due to cuts in her job). My dad is retired and trying to get a job, but nobody's hiring.

Also, I don't have a lot of money, even with a $0 EFC. The money I get barely pays for tuition. Granted, I go to a private university, but people at public universities (even the cheapest ones) have the same issue.

EDIT: Another thing is that I do not have a job. I know some people that have gotten jobs, and that only led to cuts in financial aid benefits, unless the jobs were work study jobs.
