The nominations are closed, the support votes are tallied, and your bracket has finally arrived! Make your predictions on the winner's bracket up through Friday night, although we will start the tournament proper Thursday morning.

Particulars of the contest:
1. Rounds will begin the morning of Thursday, October 6. Two matches will be active at a time, moving through the winner's bracket. We will shift to 1 match per day for the top 8.

2. Matches will launch (as of this writing) at some point in the morning hours. The topic will remain open for 24 hours, regardless of precisely when it goes up. If I do not post by 10:00 AM (Eastern), then someone else should post for me.

3. Matches will be standard contest rules. No alts, no rallying, et cetera, et cetera. The voters will be making their decision based on the song representing the soundtrack, not the soundtrack itself. So if Chrono Cross has a crappy round 1 song, too bad! As such, votes given must be for the name of the song, not the game or the seed.

4. The entire list of nominations, along with their songlists can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoS8GGHS9FDGdFprRGpQa3ZtRGcwTTM5VTQ2SWViUGc&hl=en_US
Each game will use its first game in round 1, second in round 2, etc. In the event a tiebreaker is needed, a new round will begin using the "alternate" songs.

5. When the winner's bracket is completed, we will begin the loser's bracket. Due to the intracacies of a loser's bracket, seeding is much more complicated and involves lots of byes. The short explanation:
Round 1 (song 2) - 32 losers from Winner's round 1 => 16 remain
Round 2 (song 3) - 16 from R1 plus 16 losers from Winner's round 2 => 16 remain
Round 3 (song 3) - 16 => 8 remain
Round 4 (song 4) - 8 from R3 plus 8 losers from Winner's round 3 => 8 remain
Round 5 (song 4) - 8 => 4 remain
Round 6 (song 5) - 4 from R5 plus 4 losers from Winner's round 4 => 4 remain
Round 7 (song 5) - 4 => 2 remain
Round 8 (song 6) - 2 plus 2 losers from Winner's round 5 => 2
Round 9 (song 6) - 2 => 1
Round 10 (song TBA) - R9 winner plus loser of Winner's round 6
Winner of round 10 advances to the grand finals against the champion of the winner's bracket. They will need to win twice since the winner's champion has not yet been defeated.
