Just like expected, the Rays choke it away. Put on a great show of it, but when it comes down to clutch time, they can only manage one measly hit against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre pitching staff.
hey we got a good pitching staff

I take it "we" refers to the Yankees? Your first two pitchers in this game made their major league debuts this month--the starter didn't even have a full inning of major league experience entering this game. And Tampa couldn't muster any offense against your minor leaguers.
yanks didn't bat all their minor leaguers today, albeit they're good too some of them. And Scranton/Wilkesbarre has been known to muster up, as Pawtucket does, GOOD pitchers.

No, not at all. Your lineup was all major-league.

Still rooting hard for Texas to beat the Angels tonight because I don't have confidence that Cleveland can make a comeback and whichever of us faces Texas at least stands a chance of making the second round. And with the pennant probably out of reach, I'd settle for outlasting the Yankees in the postseason.
