If the original Nexus beatdown was a 10 on the "holy ****" meter, I put these Show attacks at like a 7.5.
Using Nexus as 10 I'd probably give them a 3. With "random finisher in the ring" being a 1, "random finisher on the floor at ringside" being a 2. Also while Kane's more stupid attacks would rate below this he's definitely done better. His random smotherings of Cena a few months ago beat it-- and his top rope chair guillotines really beat it.
Mark Henry did it a lot better just cause the dude is better with intensity. Show is not a naturally intense guy. Show only really works if he's showing things that look like massive feats of strength like tossing a guy really far or something. He hasn't really done any of that so I'm left kinda getting sleepy during the things.
And yeah Biscuit brings up a good point too-- when we're served 2+ squashes a week you need to step it up a bit for another squash to really feel special. I feel like they've just been phoning things in these days. Orton vs Kane I thought was a funny feud because it blatantly felt completely random. Now we've got Kane/Punk/Bryan based on random beatdowns and Orton aimlessly RKOing people and Ryback/Tensai/Brodus doing their weekly squashes and... just oversaturated.
