"Ready to serve when you order it" is a good explanation, I suppose. But what about food that's been prepared already? The difference between it and food prepared as you order it would, at many places, be simply the waiting time.
When I hear "fast food," I just usually think of McDonald's, KFC and such trash. When I saw stuff like Chinese and salad included here, I thought the poll applied a "broader" definition.
I think the heart of the poll is "which trashy food is the best". Salad makes no sense to me on this poll, but Chinese, even if step out of Panda Express and into typical westernized Chinese takeout places, is still trashy and almost all the flavor is oil and/or soy sauce.
