Stats were never about customization anyway, because 95% of good builds had:
Str and Dex: Enough for items
Vit: The rest
Energy: None
So yeah I can't say I mind them taking stats out.
My concern (if I recall correctly on how skills work) is that you no longer level skills and that they sorta just auto-level with you and you get all of them? That seems like a lot of customization removal. I mean, the runes thing will help, but eh, I dunno.
Come on, man, if they'd wanted to, they could have balanced stats and not just removed them. Customizing via gear and a real-life-money auction house... It's clear what they're doing.
