I was going to make a topic here about it but you beat me to it.

I've developed a plan to knock the account out of Read-Only.

The first plan is to submit a feedback ticket explaining why I felt it should not have been set to Read-Only and why I want it to be set to posting status (level 10).

If that fails, I will make a topic on CE asking a serious request from a moderator. I will ask if any moderator is willing to Warn the account. My belief is that the Warning will override the Read-Only status. After the Warning status clears, the account will be set to 6: Negative Karma. At that point, I can contest the moderation to get it overturned.

The only thing that concerns me is the fact that a Warning will not override a Purgatory. Purgatory is level 3, Warned is level 5, and Read-Only is level 1. There is a possible chance that a Warning will not override the Purgatory.

Here is the current status of the account:

I think having a read only account with an active post is better than having account #49 or whatever to post with once every blue moon.. but it's up to you. I highly doubt either step is going to work since it involves either an administrator willing to change one of your thousand accounts on your usermap to active or a moderator abusing his power. hell, if you got him/her to warn the account, I'd just accept it and let it go

.Indeed, never seen that happen... probably an admin was aware of the 37mil thing but somehow missed it when it was made, then changed the status manually. Maybe.

Still, a RO account with an active post is unique.

The account was made on a proxy. Don't know if that plays a part in why it was set to Read-Only.

Luster, I'd have to say I wouldn't do it. Better to leave feedback then to stupidly risk getting axed, especially if three mods pretty much said you would.

I'd ask if you're really that dense, or just pretending to be. But you'd probably take it literally and reply with 'being made up mostly of water, my density is approximately 5.5'

I think we have a better understanding of what will get you axed or not than you do. After all, Devin and I do talk to CJayC on a very consistent basis - and not just regarding board issues. It's not far out of the realm of imagination that a previously axed, multiple purgatory trip harasser be re-axed for trying to cheat the system, again.

I'm sorry that your biggest life accomplishment, creating an account with a somewhat decent ID has been set to read only. As the prize achievement of your life, I'm sure it crushes you to have to put it in the pile of near misses you had with millionth topics/messages, ModIDs and other accounts.
