Monster Hunter on the PSP controlled your camera with the D-PAD while you moved with the analog stick. Both were on the same side of the PSP so if you only used your thumb you sacrificed movement or looking around for the other. Plus I think sprint was L-button? You'd claw with your left hand to meet the needs of doing all three things at the same time. In MHW it helps because its always safe to keep eyes on the monster and since most of your attacks come from face buttons often you are trying to accomplish tasks at the same time so using your index finger for face buttons while turning your view with your thumb is pretty helpful. --- There's a calm before the storm and the western front is quiet.
