i thought about this concept whenever i saw Ms. Sara Bellum from Power Puff Girls

Eh not really the same concept though, that's a whole different ball game, and more of a jessica rabbit parody reference (who in turn was meant to be a parody/reference to the sexual femme fatale trope herself)

Pocahontas is a grown ass woman (well, in disney's movie at least) so not really comparable to teen titans Starfire. The former's sex appeal is expected, the latter's sex appeal is awkward in hindsight.

People seriously don't give enough credit to 2011's Thor for being able to successfully bring this terribly cheesy comic character to the big screen, in live action no less. Say what you will about the movie, yes the human characters are awful, but they really had a great thor, with the arrogance in the beginning well portrayed.

Honestly don't understand the absurd popularity of that engine. It has this look to it that ue3 had and I hated that design. Is it the only engine this gen?

I actually bought wario land shake it back then. Game was... okay. Just okay. It's not as good or as fun as the classics, eg wario land 3 the all time greatest.

But it was fun. And if bought at like, a tenth of the price of a regular wii game, then worth it.

I definitely need a personal trainer. It's been 10 years since I worked out and I just really need someone with me at the beginning when I'm building a muscle base.

The machines just look so complicated with all those doodads and some don't even have one of those tiny demonstration pictures. Thank goodness for free weights. I just want to know I'm doing the exercise correctly.

Also I don't mean intimidating in the sense that they're going to beat me up like the bullies from karate kid, but more like I don't know what I'm doing at the machines and everyone else is confidently pumping away, and I really don't want to seem like I'm hogging a machine willy nilly.

Protagonist? Rather sympathetic for the most part. This would have been a much better movie if they had just focused on the human portion with tiana struggling to open a restaurant (with of course a few tweaking here and there) while dropping the stupid bayou portion with that fucking firefly that sounds like the hick truck from Pixar's worst series Cars. I mean what even was that.

I'd rather have Tiana stay human and have the movie about her helping the Prince to change back. They could have made a big deal about the Prince being a musical frog that attracts patrons to Tiana's new restaurant and then make the moral dilemma about whether she wants success or to change the Prince back. Tiana could be racked with insecurity because she doesn't know if its her hard work and cooking that keeps bringing people, or if its because of the frog.

This is actually a really really good idea, semi inspired by the "hello my baby hello my honey" episode of looney tunes/merrie melodies lol? But yeah I could totally get behind that idea.

Ugh silent protagonist, dragon Quest is so typical in its antiquity. I wonder if the combat will be any better or exactly the same as the last 9 or 10 games.

Yes. Very good, underrated Disney film. That was the last time we got a good Disney villain.

what was wrong with mother gothel?

She was fine, but kinda boring tbh. She didn't have the show or spectacle of most other great Disney villains.

She's better than the bull shit "surprise" villains we get in every single movie now, but not one of my favorites.

What the hell, mother gothel was literally terrifying what are you even on about. Tangled was great in its own right as well as the references/similar vibes to the Renaissance movies. I was literally getting an ursula vibe from mg due to how scared of her I was.

She wasn't terrifying at all imo. I appreciated Rapunzel's emotional struggles with her, but Gothel was a pretty lackluster villain throughout.

That is just so weird, I don't know what to tell you. Didn't "mother knows best" give you the creeps, that goosebumpy feeling of impending doom? Maybe you weren't taught to fear mothers/step mothers like I was? What are your thoughts on the stepmother from Cinderella, lady tremaine?

And Dr facilier is a villain that deserves... more. More than what we got in the movie. I don't know if changing the movie means dropping the frog part out of the title, but honestly would anyone even miss it? It's like the story with the least substance to make a movie out of.

Is there an updated version? Is the gba version easier than the original? I tried playing the original nes version on virtual console and just wasn't feeling it. Other than that, you definitely want to get a feel for the professor and what the class outline is gonna be like. So it goes without saying not to skip.

Literally all these old ass games were lame as hell. First one was barely ok but it just dragged on like good fucking god. Typical ps1 rpg. Made me realize why ff was so popular once upon a time. Their rpgs really were a cut above the rest at the time. And they only barely hold up.

If grandia 2 accentuates the problems of the first then meh. But if it's better than the first then hopefully we're in for a relatively fun game.

I feel about the same way about the first game. It wasn't bad but not great either. The second was much more enjoyable to me.

I hope so. Because while the battle system's concept did make me go "huh this could be interesting and used pretty strategically" the game gets just so boring and aimless and then the final non sequitur ending approaches with that typical weird shit that doesn't really have an emotional buildup. Also it's pretty hilarious how one of the characters on the actual boxart just up and leaves the game making you go why did I bother spending any time beefing you out, and what was even the point?

Yet despite all that I still wanted to try the fabled grandia 2 but was told the ps2 port was abysmal so I may as well not play it until they release a proper playable version someday.

7 isn't THAT amazing, it's just way better than the garbage 2 seasons before (which is a rather low benchmark) and has the aforementioned gorgeous girl from chuck who is just to die for (pun intended once you see the season lol)

That being said, honestly most people remember season 4 a lot more fondly and seem to forget it had its fair share of garbage too when not focused on the trinity killer. But that Lithgow performance... it really does make one forget about the problems of the season.

Grandia is great but nothing compared to Lunar.

Grandia has the far better combat engine, though.

Based on first game, I enjoyed lunar silver star harmony way more. It was easy, always a good sign for people wanting to have fun with a game, and had a nice quaint feel, very 90s in a good way. Also wasn't as super slow as grandia 1, but then again it WAS a moderately updated port over a straight up ps1 game.

Definitely wish they would have ported lunar 2 eternal blue so I can see if it's as good as the first.

I'm having trouble believing this whole scenario of you having a sister who wants to watch dexter with you, a gory show about a murderer and incompetent police force that makes you cringe harder at their stupidity than any bloody scene the show can muster up. It's just too much a coincidence that parallels where the show leads.

Anyway to be fair season 7 does get A LOT better coming off season 6, objectively the worst season despite the fact that season 5 made me rage harder.

And after that is just the last season, 8. A hilariously so bad it's good season that is definitely worth watching because while most posts on the internet were full of rage, I was finding the whole season amusing as fuck. It's like the room quality in terms of making you laugh over just how dumb and cringey it is.

If that doesn't convince you, just know that s7 has fricking Yvonne Strahotski, so damn likable, and season 8 gives that asian pervert a long lost daughter for some typical pointless reason who's super cute, so the season is definitely worth it.
