Yet it has quite the large following, and I'm surprised when 30 rock fans would find it likable when it's like a show stripped of all the elements that made 30 rock great and funny.

In my experience hotel room towels are usually great. They've been washed probably thousands of times so all the chemical treatments and dyes, etc.. that are used to keep them dry during shipping are long gone. They have also been washed enough times to no longer be prone to shedding.

I wish it was feasible to use micro fiber towels because they do a great job of drying and don't shed but I don't know if you are even supposed to wash those and how much they would degrade if you did.

Likewise I actually think hotel towels are pretty good at drying. While I'm always grossed out by the concept of using a towel thousands of others have used that not even industrial cleaning can shake off, I like how they're able to really absorb the moisture after a shower. I just want my own bathroom towels to be like that.

And... it's implied that ole blue man is the one that did the brainwashing? Making jor-el evil is such a smallville thing so I'd be surprised if that was well received.

Then something happens to superman right? I know he gets comic screwed once again.

Tell me about it, he seems stronger than the 5th dimension beings like myxlpyxl or whatever.

I started watching for Tina fey's name attachment and for her but it's just not enough. They're better in other things but this show is just not funny.

I honestly can't even fathom some of the jokes. Obviously polish Jane Krakowski as a native American woman is a joke I don't even get, like haha it's funny because it's antiquated racism jokes? What? Seriously Tina fey seems to have completely lost it with this show.

Lol I can imagine dc writers going "shh, shh, just let it happen"

They had voiced the "cell games movie" in the buu saga, but Toei forced Funimation to cut it. Can still find the clip online though.

In fairness to Toei I can see their point

Give them an inch and they take a foot. If Toei as a company say "It's okay for these guys to make money off our work and product" Then that opens a floodgates for everyone else.

Same reason all those WoW Servers got taken down and everyone got mad

Teamfourstar made a better product than Toei ever could so for that reason alone they should acknowledge them. It would be another thing if it was one of those numerous unfunny parodies spread throughout youtube of different animes and shows. But tfs made something special. In fact at some point it stopped being just a straight up parody and more like an actual dubbing of the show that's a little more humorous. But the terrifying moments or the really badass moments, they don't take away from it. They show how much they know and respect the show.

But it kinda seems... faddy, to make watchmen the reason for the change. He's no anti monitor or reality punching superboy primo.

Just wondering what the implications are for the next few years after this initial rebirth improvement.

Yeah but like why. And how. They implying he's that strong and reality bending? I'm sure Dr strange or Dr fate are stronger at that magic stuff.

I might have to check out target and Walmart then. Hope their towels are better than the awful ones at bbb

Am I the only one who feels like ALL the towels at bed bath and beyond are like that? They're absolutely terrible.

I love those slightly rough towels with the really nice texture that completely soak up the water after you dry off from a shower. They're always hard to find.

That actually is encouraging to hear that they have such an amicable relationship. I guess it's just that damn Toei which is unfortunate because they probably have final say in everything.

Christ the actual voice actors for the show are awful compared to dbz abridged. Teamfourstar's goku IS goku, there's no 2 ways about it. Hearing that krillin is literally cringe inducing over the adorably sympathetic tfs krillin.

It's nice that at least Funimation recognize the impact that tfs has had. I'm not even bothered by Toei; it's quite obvious that this is a case of them being incredibly insecure because teamfourstar made a better show than what they have. It reeks of that in fact.

Skimmed the synopsis and I'm not sure. Also what happens to superman is always so weird.

The show is eh, but nerds getting super angry at tbbt will never stop being hilarious lol. Just reading some of the posts itt makes me cringe laugh.

FF 9 didn't have the same magic as other entries in the series for me personally, simply because it played things too safe.

FF9 was an homage to the FF series and referenced all past FFs. FF9 is widely considered the greatest FF game of all time.

Anyway, I debated whether or not to throw in that line in my original post, and even though it was fun getting in a few triggers, I shouldn't have made it because it will clearly derail the topic: this board in particular is hyper sensitive when you criticize 9. Which is kind of why I've built up a little bit of disdain for the subject; 9 is one of those technically-sound games where there's not a lot to rip into, which is why I think so many internet types have gravitated towards it: the fewer the obvious flaws, the less they have to defend their love of the game against others. Try loving 10 and then having to deal with the inevitable dipshit posting the Tidus Laughing clip every time.

What? FF 9 has A TON of flaws. I too would hate to derail the topic but the internet users that always want to feel like special little snowflakes by saying ff 9 is the best always make me roll my eyes.

I wouldn't even consider it technically sound because the battle load times alone are unbearable. They were too long even when it was first played, never mind nowadays.

I don't know if they were playing it safe though with characters like quinoa. If anything they were trying too hard to be weird. The secondary characters are really awful, both design wise and characterwise, and only the main party of Zidane, vivi, garnet and steiner are worth having and following. Though to be fair Zidane and vivi are worth it, one for being at least a nice upbeat positive protagonist and the other for just being adorable.

But otherwise yeah it's a severely flawed game, not just because it can be a bit too boring (those load times are a pretty big deal breaker) and then you've got the typical end of disc 3 text dump, which isn't so bad if it weren't for the weird non sequitur final final boss, a dues ex bossina if you will :p

And for most of these desperately wanting to be special little snowflakes, I say all this as someone who really liked ff 9 when I first played it, I mean I just adored it and the time playing it was one of the best summers in my life.

But let's not build it up to anything more than it is. It's no ff 6, which could be considered its polar opposite in terms of being a truly revolutionary game that changed the series forever, moving away from ff's quickly-turning-trite crystal storyline and cementing the series as (at least before it ended in the 21st century) the greatest jrpg series for its high quality and ability to innovate in some way every installment unlike a certain other popular series that for some reason japanese love despite its encouragement of stagnation cough cough.

As for the topic, I don't think anything ff 7 does is weird compared to other ps1 jrpgs that did very similar things. Almost all the ps1 jrpgs had these kinda similarities, like the annoying cumbersome minigames, weird npcs and sections that make you lol. It's actually rather quaint.

Which is surprising all things considered.

Oh. Hell. YES. I'm so excited to see how they handle this. Return of the revenge of meta cooler is literally the first dbz related media I've ever seen so it has a special place in my heart. I'll never forget watching the vhs tape at my cousin's place over and over. Thought the show had as heart tensing fight scenes as this movie. Admittedly the ending does seem like a copout now since meta cooler seemed nigh invincible and shouldn't have lost, but oh well. I haven't seen the other movies or even the show itself but I still think this is the best one. At the very least my favorite.

Don't you get the urge to want to help them lose weight though, especially if you get to enjoy the spoils afterwards? It's a long investment but could be fun.

You know when you see one of these huge girls but the face kinda looks ok and you can tell that if she just dropped like a hundred pounds she'd be a knockout.

Toriyama can say that, it doesn't make it true. Huge difference between z and dB. Just look at the style of fight scenes alone.

Oh is that why they come in? From the cold? Yeah that I could believe. Also worried about birthing lots of baby spiders but I'm gonna make a deal with this one. As long as it doesn't come near me on the bed when I'm trying to sleep and takes care of any and all insects, I'll let it live. But if it crosses that bed threshold... I'm sorry, but I'm just not comfortable with anything invading my personal space.

The first one is still better (that goes without saying)

But the comedy in this one is on point. My main problem, especially in the middle section, is when the game devolves into "find that incredibly small bit of wall in the distance that you can portal to" which isn't really a puzzle so much as a glorified where's Waldo esque gameplay.

Otherwise portal 2 was hella fun and I enjoyed the entire package. Played a little bit of co-op but unfortunately couldn't find anyone who wanted to complete the whole thing, they always get bored and honestly I can't blame them. It's not quite as good as the main game and I'm more into single player anyway when it comes to games

No Because Goku himself said that if it wasn't for Trunks he would have just instant transmissioned there. He sensed Trunks in his ship before he was even near Earth and wanted to see what he was capable of.
