Playing a Scorchlander so far, here's the breakdown.

Ran and mined some copper. Mined some iron too. Realized both suck due to my Scorchlander trait but keep on mining copper because I have no idea how to make money otherwise.

Some friendly people come walking down the road. They ask me to stop. They beat me up. They enslave me. I decide to reload for now and also decide that people are not to be trusted.

I keep mining copper and my athletics skill hits 17. I'm faster than anyone who has tried to attack me so far so I bait them into town and have the townies deal with them. Then I loot the bodies and sell the gear for whatever I can. I hit 3500c doing this and copper mining and decide it's time to see the world.....carefully.

I start running in one direction, through some bloody rain to a place called Stack. Apparently this place is full of crusaders so I make certain that I am definitely pious until I leave this town for the short term plan.

I recruit a man named Khalid for 3000c. He's a human too, but he's white. I don't know what to do now that I have 2 people instead of one. I guess I'll hit the road again for now and feel very slightly safer.

Focus on defenses and dropping his attack so his Sync move doesn't one shot your whole team. Attacker doesn't matter, off type works.

Clemont can tank most of what he throws at you if you buff defenses and drop his attack. It might be a long fight, but you should pull through.
