meh, it seems really dumb to stereotype an entire generation of people by when they were born. I'm guilty of it ("those darn boomers!"), but it doesn't make for a sound argument

a lot of car manufacturers have replaced their spares with a bottle of fix-a-flat, or just use runflat tires. new Ford cars come with a bottle of Slime in the trunk and that's it (which is utterly useless for a blowout)

I've found it useful for reading handwritten notes now and again. It also heavily influenced my normal style of writing - my letters run together a lot of the time, and they have lots of swooping curves as opposed to straight lines and right angles. If I'm trying to jot down something fast, I'll mix in some cursive letters for speed. I can write in pure cursive script in a pinch if I need to, but it's slow and ugly.

Meh, hard to draw a hard line like that.

I mean, I've seen the direct results of animal rights activism and the destruction of entire labs and entire areas of science. Nonhuman primate research is necessary if we are ever going to understand the brain, but it is very nearly extinct now-a-days, primarily because of political push-back from animal rights activists on the far left.

I bypass the ethics of animal research by ignoring it. Makes things simple. Same with eating meat. I'm probably not in favor of "animal rights" then per se, but I'll beat the shit out of anyone who looks at a puppy the wrong way. Does that count?

I had zero credit history before March of this year until I got a non-secured starter card through my credit union with a sub-$1k limit. I also have some small medical debt sitting in collections from a few years ago that I'm working towards paying off, which hurts. My credit score rocketed up almost 100 points from low 500s to low 600s this past month, just by switching tactics from "put everything on card and pay off at end of month" to "strategically keep my utilization low". Making every payment on time helps a lot too. I by no means have "good" credit, but I'm working on it; the main ingredients now are time and perseverance.

My next step is to get another card, preferably with rewards.

I'm hard-pressed to call Virginia a blue state. It has a large population of blue voters concentrated in the northern counties surrounding DC, but that's it. Our state legislature is thoroughly red, and the reason we have a Democratic governor is because the last one, a Republican, was literally convicted of corruption and sent to prison. (He's out now; his conviction was overturned because bribery is still legally defined in the US as "exchanging comically large bags of cash out in public view while twirling your mustache".)

I don't mean they ate your food without asking, I mean stolen something of significant value.

I once had a roommate move out, and before he left, he decided to steal my copy of Super Mario RPG that I'd had since childhood. He had moved out of state, and I was half tempted to drive out there and beat his ass, especially with the excuse he gave me. "Yeah, it was in my bags by accident, and I was gonna mail it back to you, but then I lost it."

I ordered it online, but they kept trying to deliver it when nobody was home, so I opted to go to the UPS warehouse and pick it up myself.

Another fun fact: as long as you're at speed, you won't get wet if it rains. (Except for the portion of the box sticking out above the windshield.)
