I think I'm on track to have enough passes to guarantee Firefly when she comes out if I don't lose both 50/50s on Robin and Fu Xuan. In fact if I lose Robins 50/50 I may have to seriously consider skipping her after all, because FX is better for me and if I do lose both I really shouldn't consider skipping FX...

And just beat the deer and finished all first time base SU clears. Went Kafka/BS/Lynx/Pela most of the run and swapped BS for Bailu for the extra mitigation for the boss to be safe but probably didnt need it.

I got the most absolutely disgustingly busted blessing combos that run. Got like every Nihility blessing and then also like all of the good Rememberance 3 stars on top of that (dissociation ones etc).

The deer barely attacked at all outside of phase transitions and just absolutely melted.

yay goal complete! Now to work on Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears more.

The pixel event is just another variation on the usual point battles with trial characters. Doesn't take long at all.

I built Herta last week with the new Planar for her.

She and Himeko 2 cycled the first half of the new PF.

They just wouldn't stop spinning. And spinning. And spinnnnnning.

Early on when I started playing was hilarious because I got Himeko pretty early, I would enter fights in Belobog with them in my party and the initial hit from entering battle would break several enemies, which triggered Himeko, which triggered Herta, and whole encounters would just die from just entering the battle.

Sadly the enemies scaled past that after a few Equilibrium trials

She was next on my list until I pulled Clara!
Now she's next on m list again.

I did the first two stages earlier and man, even not fully built Clara helps a LOT on this one.

I doubt I'll be able to full clear it since I don't have some good chara like Herta etc built yet but it seems like the one I'll get closest to being able to so far.

Yeah. He messed up for sure but it was no where near as bad as some things like this get. There was no actual physical component, no threats, just a dude overstepping his boundaries while talking to women online about a fetish. It was repeated and not okay to happen, but when it was brought out he genuinely seems like he's gone about getting help and apologizing and explaining his pov pretty correctly.

It's pretty clear it was just him screwing up and that there was no malicious intent, to me. Things happen, people make mistakes when dealing with the opposite sex (or whatever gender they're into). If he learns from it, doesn't do it again, and becomes a better person then I at least absolutely forgive him.

The tldr is Chugga creeped out several women by going too far with foot/shoe fetish roleplay and didn't realize they weren't into it. They cut ties with him and it eventually got out on social media, causing a big controversy.

Various bits of evidence and he said/she said things came out and caused a war online etc.

But yeah basically lottos or other infinite faming events, with the caveat that it will only be for a dozen or so types of mats a year.

Other than that you hope the ones you need are in an upcoming event shop or deal with the painful rate you get them from free quests.

It's kind of weird how much I realized I like Robin and am looking forward to her despite her almost literally negative screen time in the game so far.

The bits you do get here and there along with stuff like her being in the Owlbert program outside th game are very endearing to me because I like that she just seems like a sweet and slightly silly/airheaded girl.

I've not had good luck with Kafka Nihility on that fight but tbf the last time i tried it was before i upgraded my Kafkas relics so i might give that a shot tomorrow when the SU points reset.

Who do you have for DPS?

I only have Himeko and Xueyi leveled with type advantage, and Dr. Ratio and Kafka for non-type.

Himeko doesn't do enough damage to the boss itself (though she destroys the saplings), and Xueyi is kind of hard to keep alive with Lynx (my only leveled cleanser) because she's Destruction (so Lynxs heal gives her aggro).

Kafka kind of necessitates I bring Black Swan to do enough damage but then I have trouble with the saplings by not bringing Pela. Dr. Ratio does enough damage to the boss even through resistance, but it just hasn't worked out.

I think my best shot is Ratio, Pela, Lynx, Fire TB with Preservation an the right combo of blessings but I've just not gotten the run yet.

Starting to think I just can't kill the deer in the SU on hardest difficulty with the characters I have leveled. I've tried 8 times now with various team setups and blessing combinations and I either have the damage but not the sustain and the 3rd phase ult kills me in one shot OR I have enough sustain but don't have enough damage and the deer out heals me until enrage ramps i enough to overpower me.

Maybe I'll just give up on trying to full clear first time bonus regular SU for now and come back after I hopefully get Fu Xuan and level QQ or something.

Trying to get Clara up to speed so I can use her and I realized I had a Sigonian planar ornament set with nearly perfect stats for her so I guess I'm going to try that for awhile so i dont have to farm other ones for her. Nonstandard for sure but I think it should still work, especially in PF parties

That's how they get it they give you a year or two run of great luck and then yank it away. It all really started last year when I tried for the Summer 6 swimsuits and spent like 600 SQ without getting even a single one.

Ive had bad luck since. Even my biggest wins are like, 300 average rolls for the SSR since then.

Oh and yes anyone going into the series these days should be aware that yes, there is a connected plot going on in the background, but it is NOT as import as something like say Trails, and each game is much more stand alone than something like that.

But that said it doesn't have a proper conclusion and a few big plot threads just don't amount to anything because Konami abandoned the series and that still sucks and is disappointing.

Suikoden 1 is well regarded it's just sore of rough in some areas even considering it's already datedness. But it's short enough most of the problems it does have aren't that big of a deal.

Suikoden 2 is the most universal praised. I wouldn't say the gameplay is anything special (though it's fine and better than 1 as long as you don't HAVE to have challenge) but the story and characters are excellent, as well as the overall presentation and tone.

Suikoden 3 was, as said, divisive when it came out. I was not a huge fan at the time because it had a lot of changes from 2 and 2 was my favorite RPG (still might be), but I've come around on it a lot since then and consider it to be around the same quality as 2. Had, at the time, a very unique multiple view points system that wasn't much seen a the time, though it's much more common these days.

Suikoden 4 still kinda sucks honestly. It's not AWFUL or anything and emulators can sort of fix a lot of the problems with how slow it is, but I would heavily temper your expectations if you are playing through the series these days.

Suikoden 5 imo is just about as good as 2, though most people will say it's not. It basically is just gameplay wise going back to 2s style and doing a new story. It also has some issues with slowness in gameplay, but turbo helps. Story pacing also has issues, especially early on.

Tactics I remember being pretty fun but not much more than that and I never replayed it. It's no FFT and it's set in the Suikoden 4 setting/era which drags it down some but I am pretty sure I remember the plot being better than 4.

Tierkries gets a lot of flak for not being a real Suikoden 6 because it's not set in the same world or continue the meta plot after the huge wait for possibly another game, but it's honestly pretty good. I probably wouldn't say it's as good as 2, 3, or 5 but its worth playing if you are able to separate it from the name and treat it likes its own thing ala Eiyuden.

I never played any of the Japan only spinoffs though I think at least some have been fan translated now?

Admittedly what I said is not 100% true I do make some exceptions on waiting until things are done like if it is something I know will be finished soon and I want to be a part of the discussion toward the end (I finally watched Stranger Things recently for instance)

Ive basically abandoned watching all TV as it airs at this point because of cancellations. Doesnt matter if its live action, anime, whatever. There have been too many times Ive been really into something and it just stops. I wait til shows are over now.

Sucks the release isn't going smoothly but this is still probably my most anticipated game of the year

Some of the character kits in this game are not well explained at all. Not just the word salad but sometimes they refer to effects without an easy way of seeing what the effect is. Sushang for instance basically doesnt say anywhere what sword stance actually does in her abilities.

Cold Steel 3 is the best game in the series pre Reverie so look forward to it

Yeah that one is super easy and one of the most tame gimmicks of fights these days.

Carmilla is a really good female boss killer. She might help a lot against a few bosses in Shimousa. But Morgan can probably handle them too, so it's probably not that important.

But yeah id say you're mostly pretty good. I'd maybe work on Riders and Assassins with some sort of priority but not that big of one

It said at the end of SERAPH encore that BB's noble phantasm was upgraded to the max but in my game it still says level 1. Is that all the higher it goes?

You have to buy the rest of the copies with RPs with the permanent version I think

Yeah its definitely necessary because it stops fights from being cake walks. With proper set ups you can get a Servant to do 10s of millions of HP in one turn so gating enemy phases on HP alone with no break bars doesnt work well.
