The GC was a piece of crap. In fact, in my opinion, Nintendo dropped the ball when they decided to keep the N64 cart based when CD consoles debuted and Nintendo went from being on top of the videogame industry to 3rd place and Sega bowed out altogether and those two were the numbers 1 and 2 video game companies in regards to consoles during the 1980s until the late 1990s early 2000s.

What's wrong with carts? Sega moved to discs and still lost as far as consoles are concerned. The N64 did alright and the DS and 3DS did better, still using carts.

I'm gonna guess Chrono Trigger (PS1) and Mega Man X3 are my two most valuable. I've also got Tron Bonne and both MM Legends.

Both are great but cats can be left alone; they're more independent. Dogs are soooo dependent; might as well have a kid.

Finished the Gap Cycle and started Thomas Covenant chronicles.

If I'm feeling sick or know I have covid, I'll where one when I got out. Don't wanna spread it.

yeah, as a kid I was just stoked to play more games at a friend's house. and visa-versa. even back then as a kid or teen it was fun going to a friend's house that had an older OR newer gen aside from a different console.

My best friend growing up had Sega Genesis while I had the SNES. He had most (if not all) of the Sonic games, Rocket Knight Adventures, Eternal Champions, Vectorman, Ecco the Dolphin, etc. I obtained plenty of the SNES classics (my library was only 4 games when I got it, but that grew of course): Super Mario World, F-Zero, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, Mega Man X, Street Fighter 2, and a few others. His favorite video game growing up was Sonic. Mine was Mega Man X.

Back in the rental days, too. Never owned Mega Man 7 but I made it all the way to Wily renting it every weekend. Never beat Wily though until the anniversary collection came out on the Gamecube.

I'd argue that that design evolved from the SNES controller. This might be the reason for the GC controller love; it's evolved from the same layout that current controllers evolved from, and it's adorably quirky imo.

Edit: I thought the C-stick was fine. That d-pad was way too small, fr.

Trick-or-treating was kind of a great way to give kids a little taste of independence. You usually start off trick-or-treating with your parents, then eventually go trick or treating without the adults and with friends. That's how it used to be, at least.

I know, but I didn't want to. Gap Cycle so good. So so good. It's hard to put down once you're past a certain point. I can read it next October.

I see a subtle glance downward as he leans away from her. His chin and eyes dip every so slightly before he looks to her face. He's sorta eye level with her chin/mouth.

I walk around with wired headphones in my pocket daily and have to get new ones every 10 months or so because the wires wear out.

This is why I moved to wireless buds. If I lose one or both of them, I'll just buy another since lesser brands are pretty cheap.

Stephen R. Donaldson is quite possibly my favorite fantasy fantasy writer ever (though quite possibly tied with Zelazny)

While I haven't read the Thomas Covenant books, I absolutely love Donaldson's sci-fi, The Gap Series. I'm currently rereading it. And I've read Zelazny's Amber Chronicles, also very good.
