If anyone could make their own Star Wars content for example, the market would be flooded with immense levels of garbage and, for the average consumer it would probably be hard to figure out what the real stuff actually is. Look at The Asylum. They skirt copyright as close as they can to trick people, and it works. Now imagine the market is full of that stuff but it's got Star Wars written right there on the tin. Also, especially with something like Star Wars, if everyone can make official stuff what actually counts as canon or official or, at the very least, worthwhile. There are still nerds arguing about the EU even though it was never canon to begin with. |

Ehhh. I feel like it really is what they said it is. People have been asking for a multiplayer Fallout for years and they finally delivered; they just gave it to their b team because they're already too busy and it didn't work out. I recently heard bethsoft isn't publically traded so they don't have shareholders to deliver to, which is why they focus on single player. Company shareholders are the real "evil suits" that the execs actually have to answer to. Without them, I take most of what Todd the Bodd says at face value. |

I doubt they had much riding on it to begin with and wouldn't expect to see anything else like it, at least for quite a while. Also, hopefully The Outer Worlds coming out next year lights a fire under Bethesda's ass. |

Elves would be hard to do as wild animals though without changing the generally agreed upon outline of what an elf is. I think orcs could work as even more devolved then they usually are. Rather than a savage warrior race they could basically be cavemen types who can only make basic tools and have no real speech. |
