It's an aged old writing trope. I mean the Kaiju genre is basically made around the trope of one monster starts out as an enemy of humanity then a bigger foe shows up and monster #1 teams up with humans.

Yeah, it's pretty much a given that if your villain is way cooler than the good guys he'll become the good guy. Godzilla, Terminator. Hell, even Freddy and Jason you find yourself rooting for more than any of the teen fodder.

There isn't really anything she could have said or done. I'm sure she'll come back to fight for her another day but, frankly, it was getting up to the finale and she didn't have any further part to play.

It's pretty easy to shelter a child. Especially if you live in a massive secluded mansion. She seems to have plenty to do there and has a very active imagination. I doubt she ever felt the need to question it.

I really enjoyed the movie but the Indoraptor was pretty weak. The I-Rex was a meta commentary on the movie itself which was pretty cool. The Indoraptor just seems like the people making this movie didn't know that. They said it was hyperintelligent and could follow human orders and all this stuff... but it's just a prototype that can't do that stuff yet. So it was just a smaller I-Rex. The I-Rex could fucking cloak and they decided an upgrade was just a big raptor? It could have at least had some cool tricks.

I'm on my third time trying to play this game and I still can't get into it. I just got to the first boss fight and that can fuck all the way off. Now I'm going back through the facility to see if I can get some more stuff to help me out. But even before that I'm not having much fun. Combat is just not a great option and with even stealth takedowns needing energy being stealthy isn't a great option at the beginning either. So the only real option is to try and ghost past people. What am I missing? What should I invest in? When will I actually be able to play the game?

I am far too pale to enjoy the beach. Add on to that the sand and salt water and I just want to take a shower afterwards.

Honestly I don't trust that demo the media got to play and no one else got to see. It reeks of something put together to impress rather than the actual game... maybe I'm pessimistic but it just seems weird.

Behind closed doors presentations happen all the time. It's not suspicious they didn't show the public anything and no one who saw it seems suspicious of it.

I've seen it compared to GTA several times. Is that just the only open world game people can think of? There are no actual similarities.

I respectfully disagree. There are a variety of weapons and you can gain XP from multikills. Having played the series since it's origins, I find 3+ and even below to be fairly balanced in allowing you to go stealth, aggro, or anywhere in between.

You can go in guns blazing but you can't deny there is a massive emphasis on stealth. There's a lot more ways to get XP with stealth; all I can think of for being aggressive is a headshot bonus and multikills. And how many different stealth takedowns can you unlock in the skill tree? I can't remember any upgrades for an aggressive playstyle.

I really wish more games would put some effort into the most basic of traversal mechanics. Even if you have a super linear game with a directed narrative you can think of more interesting out of bounds barriers than a fence or a ditch and let people jump over that kind of thing. And in more open games I want to be able to climb on everything. Not enough games let you climb trees.

The gameplay loop of Farcry 3. In order to do the (garbage) side stuff you have to clear outposts. Clearing outposts gets rid of all the enemies. In order to play the majority of the game you have to make the already boring map into a fucking desert.
