| rexcrk 06/21/17 6:28:50 PM #1 | So I listed a DVD lot, and the only box I have to ship it in is a priority mail box, so I listed priority mail as the only shipping method. This person wins the auction (and actually got it for a steal, I listed it too low I think) and I don't hear from them for a few days (I give at least a week to receive payment). Finally yesterday I get this message asking if I can ship it cheaper (which is fair, in most cases I'm lenient) but I explained that the only thing I have to ship it in is a priority mail box. I explain that I'd be more than willing to cancel the transaction if he didn't want to pay the priority shipping. Messages me back telling me all different ways I can ship it via media mail ("just wrap it up in a grocery bag, surely you have those laying around"). And again I explain that I don't have anything else to ship it in because I don't keep boxes laying around nor do I keep paper grocery bags laying around. I get a condescending message back saying "try harder, you know the golden rule!" and after that I just said "fuck it, I'm done" reported him to eBay and everything. All I care about is getting negative feedback at this point. I'm always happy to work with a customer but if there's something I can't do, it is what it is. I'm not some big corporation with endless resources here.. just a guy trying to unload some DVDs I don't need anymore lol. I've never had such a difficult customer on eBay before. --- These pretzels are making me thirsty! |

I've been working for the same company for about ten years (a retail job) and I'm making an embarrassingly low amount of money. Plus.. the job sucks (obviously). I've never really had career goals (this is going way back to when I was in like eight grade) and up until recently, I've never really minded my job. I also don't define myself by my career... there's more to life than working. But I recently got promoted.. and at first I thought it would be good. I thought I'd learn some new skills, have a chance to grow as a person. Plus they gave me a couple extra bucks an hour raise. After about a little over a month... I'm thinking I made a mistake. I'm doing the same type of work, and that raise they gave me? I haven't calculated yet but I'm pretty sure any extra money I'm making is going to gas because I have to work at a different location that's farther away. So now I'm seriously looking into new careers. I'd love to do something practical (I can't imagine sitting behind a desk lol) so I've been looking into possible trade schools I can go to, but I was also thinking of the post office. Obviously I know it's not a very glamorous career, but that doesn't bother me. And I know it can be stressful, but so can the job I have now, so it's nothing I'm not used to. It looks like the pay is pretty good (better than what I make now) and of course it has benefits, which is really important to me (looking back, the biggest reason I've stayed at my current job so long is because it has good benefits). I was just wondering if anyone here has worked at the post office, or knows anyone who does or has and could provide some insight. --- These pretzels are making me thirsty! |

I mean, if you know anything about Transformers, you know the franchise is built on silly nonsensical plots, lots of action and explosions, not-very-deep characters, human presence (except the Beast shows), and giant transforming robots that fight each other. The movies capture all that really well, while still making it somewhat "realistic". And if you think the human presence is bad in the movies... go watch some of the anime Transformers shows and you'll see these look much better by comparison lol. --- These pretzels are making me thirsty! |

Then I watched the rest of that season and all of season 3 as they aired. Then I watched some of season 4 and... gave up on it lol. The biggest issue, I think, was that it was airing at the same time as the last season of The Office which obviously takes precedent. At that time I didn't have a DVR so I would have to wait eight days to watch it on Hulu... then I just decided it wasn't worth the "effort" of setting up the laptop and everything to watch it lol. I wouldn't say I hate it though. At best I'd say I'm indifferent towards it lol. --- These pretzels are making me thirsty! |
