Right now I work helpdesk for a dead end company, and I hate my job. On paper I have an OK life, I make low pay but I live alone in a very affordable city (Rochester NY) and I've saved up a lot of money over the years. Have a spoiled black cat. Lol. But I've learned that there's really nothing to my life. I want more. Honestly I'd like to live in a nice big city like Seattle or NYC. Is that unrealistic? Is that a stupid goal? At $31,000/year I'd say hell yeah. I realize that I need to be more ambitious and work harder towards my goal. With that said, I keep hearing that going to school for IT related studies is NOT a good idea. Is this true? Is there another path I should be going here? But it's a more lenient call center environment than normal - I sit towards the back, so no one knows when I'm taking too long of a break in between calls. I'm also late nearly every day (until 2-3 days ago). So the job sucks, but there's ways I can manipulate it so that the job isn't as bad. --- pojr I summon it. You spell it. |
