| pojr 10/11/19 12:34:16 PM #73 | this thread blew up since I left, wow I'll answer a few things: yes, I was offended. being a white guy, I was turned off that the driver was listening to an anti-white station the station in general was inappropriate. don't care if it was a white guy in the car or someone else. still not appropriate to have that on with a customer in the vehicle. yes, doesnt mean the views of the radio station were the same as the driver. with that said, why would she be listening to that station then? I gave her a mediocre rating (3 stars) and added a comment of what the station was and the comments the station was making. if Lyft thinks it is a problem they will do something. if not they wont. I didn't give a 1 star rating because I don't want to get her in trouble. just want to send the message not to do that with future riders. --- pojr I summon it. You spell it. |

| pojr 10/11/19 9:53:07 AM #1 | the interaction would have been completely fine except for one thing. she was listening to an inappropriate radio station. what was so bad about it? it referenced an article of a crime that was committed, and to guess what race the criminal was. they all guessed white, and when it was correct, the host of the station started talking about the entitlement of "the white man" I'm okay if the lyft driver listening to this station on her own time, but not with customers in her car. the fact that she thought that would be appropriate is unbelievable. yes I am white. the lyft driver was not white. am I in the right? or am I overreacting? --- pojr I summon it. This interview is for a helpdesk job for a different company. Same BS job, but I'm gonna aim for a $1.00 pay raise. She IMed me on the app asking me to please wait. I found out she was late because she was getting her car washed at Delta Sonic. - I had to use Uber on a Saturday because there were no buses, and it isn't common for me to work on Saturdays. Guy was 15 minutes away, so I knew there weren't a lot of drivers at the time, but was fine with waiting. During the ride, he kept making passive aggressive comments like "you couldn't find a ride from someone else?" He obviously wasn't happy that he was stuck with me. - Had a woman that wouldn't drop talking my ear off. She kept going the wrong way, and blamed the Uber map for it. Thing is, however, I could see her phone on the dashboard. It was HER mistake, not Uber's. She wasn't paying attention. When she dropped me off, I saw her give me 3 star rating. I wasn't happy. I bought a few things. mostly good experiences but I had a bad one. a few years ago I purchased a scooter from a guy. he didn't speak very good english and he knew NOTHING about the bike he was selling. the scooter was in pretty rough condition and I was able to talk down the price $100. when I tried to get the bike registered at the DMV a few days later, they said the registration papers were not valid. tried to contact the seller but of course no answer. I was stuck with a paperweight. my first apartment was found on craigslist. nothing bad there. one time I applied for a job on craigslist, for some weird FB advertising thing. when I inquired about it, I got a very rude response back from the person that created the craigslist ad. he was also using some weird rainbow font that looked unprofessional. silly of me to think that was a legitimate job. --- pojr I summon it.
