If you think that answer is one month, then you have one month to get a new job lined up. If you think you can go two months, then you have two months to get a job, etc. Basically what I'm getting at is you can slack off as long as you want until getting fired, as long as you have a new job lined up. If you think falling behind will get you fired in two weeks, then you'd probably best consider doing more than the bare minimum, at least enough to keep pace rather than falling behind. Either way, don't just up and quit. Keep the paychecks flowing, there's no reason to voluntarily stop getting paid if you see yourself as being on the way out. Just make sure you're still employed so you can say "I am still employed" rather than "I am unemployed." Both of which sound better than "I got fired" though, so make sure to keep testing the waters and quit before you get shitcanned involuntarily. I agree with this, good advice. pojr 06/06/19 8:57:49 AM #1	I'm taking on a new shipping position at work...not knowing much about it, I figured it would be a relaxed position. Maybe some stress here and there, but otherwise a decent position. That is far from the case. We have 1,000+ stores that I would have to send and receive to, and we are 60+ stores behind right now. I would also be the only shipping clerk, and we're progressively getting more and more behind. It doesn't help that upper management is also prioritizing other projects. My job promoted this guy named Jerry to Senior VP in the inventory department. This guy is a sexist condescending asshole. He told us yesterday "I'm getting really tired of your boss blabbing about eveything" and at one point even threatened my boss. "...don't say this is my fault, otherwise there's going to be a problem. The other thing is that he refuses to listen. He wants all of my stuff out of the warehouse by a certain date. He doesn't realize that it is IMPOSSIBLE to achieve that, especially when I need to prioritize other things, like catching up on my normal job. Yesterday I found out his team threw out a lot of my stuff against my wishes, so now I have no boxes for the stores anymore...and when I confronted him, he liked and claimed the boxes were there for months. No they weren't, the boxes were there for a couple days. Here's the problem. I can't go to HR or report to his boss. He's the VP of the company, and his boss is the CEO. I'm trapped. My only choice is the leave. I don't care about the company anyway, I have no respect for the company I work for. What should I do? --- pojr I summon it. You spell it.
