nolan. now i don't hate nolan, but i'm not high on him like most others. for some reason i feel like i'm watching concepts instead of stories with nolan. interstellar did work on me, though. i like that one.

revenge of the sith. i'd rather watch the phantom menace to be honest. is child anakin awesome? no, but i didn't have to care as much yet because he wasn't the main one doing the on screen star wars shit outside of podracing. it's got the best duel of the trilogy by far. they had some fancy shmancy shit this fight but it was egregious in 2 and 3. the gungans and their accent is my one major complaint - that's specific to phantom menace and not spread across all three movies. i'm comparing, after all.

for me it's a matter of the what, not the why. tidus's whining makes sense. alright, bet. he still whines though? square still decided to write a story with a justifiable, but whiny character. cool. i love the whining now, i guess lol.

i mean for the most part sure. but it can happen. some guy temped where i worked in 2011 for just a summer, and he's someone i talk to daily to this day. play games here and there together on pc, and when he's in town we hang out. we're not ride or die, but i'd say we're the next tier below that. i love him and it would deeply sadden me if we stopped being friends.

my wife has met some real friends through work as well. some of them i think are ride or die.

this year i got infinite wealth, rebirth, dd2, eiyuden, sand land. haven't played enough eiyuden yet and i doubt sand land will be goty worthy, so it's infinite wealth by default. dd2 runs (ran? maybe it got an update idk) so bad i would actually dock from it's score if i was a reviewer. and rebirth has so much annoying fucking shit in it despite it being a well made game on paper.

interested in hell divers but my friends don't play it. i'm actually super surprised they don't. they normally would be on this immediately. but i heard at launch playing by yourself or matchmaking was bad, so i haven't gotten it yet. i think i'll like it though. maybe it'll usurp infinite wealth. i loved iw but it can be beaten.

i want rise of the ronin but i'mma wait til it's on pc in 2025/2026.

prediction: metaphor will end up being my goty and in retrospect this year won't have lived up to its hype.

it might crack the 10-20 range for rpgs for me. nothing against it (decent 8 for me which is hella good), i just like other rpgs more.

there's a death in midsommar that bothers me conceptually.

i think it's the black guy. he goes into a building and starts reading a book i think, that was forbidden for them to access. you see a guy in the doorway. the guy hits him over the head, and makes some weird moaning noises at the guy while he's dying. for some reason on my first watch, i didn't notice the killer didn't have any pants on so his dick was out. the idea of being immobilized, dying, with some naked dude with his dick pointing at me making weird noises freaks me out lol.

anyway for me, you gotta pick temps. hot vs cold isn't enough. is cold 40F? is cold -10F? this question can be definitively answered if you give actual numbers and ask which you prefer.

day 1 on steam for me, but i kinda wish i backed it. this is the next one on the list for me and i'm not really playing anything atm. getting it this week like others have woulda been perfect timing.

i look younger than almost 40 though. soft features, great head of hair, and my facial hair is like the facial hair of someone that just started getting it. sparse and super light/soft. i wish i could grow a manly beard, but my wife loves that i can't.
