Bat Out Of Hell
The title track is Steinman in a nutshell. Essentially a fantasy of this bad boy biker finding purity and happiness in the arms of a lover, only to be such a badass that he has to leave on his motorcycle... and he has to do it in such a badass way that he ends up dying. Steinman is truly the 'master of excess'. The song is never boring and the music follows the story perfectly. Love this song. Steinman captured the experience of being a teenager, where everything is so important and every feeling so intense.

Two Out Three Ain't Bad
It's almost a parody of an Elvis song but it works.

Paradise By The Dashboard Light
This is one of the best titles of any song ever and the song is such a classic. The Rizzuto part building up to STOP RIGHT THERE! is perfect.

Heaven Can Wait
When I listen to the album I tend to feel almost bummed when this song comes on but a few moments in, I'm hooked. I think this should have been the second song on the album, maybe the fourth.

You Took The Words Out Of My Mouth
A simple pop-rock love song. To me this song is probably the biggest Springsteen influenced song. And of course we have to have an odd spoken word exchange about wolves and leading guys on.

For Crying Out Loud
I kinda love this song but I also tend to pick apart some of the arrangements - wish there was a percussion tease on the first 'chorus', and I wish they did less with the orchestra in the last 30 seconds or so. I think my problem is that I sorta skipped out on these types of songs as a kid and unfairly compare the song to stuff that came out a decade or two later.

I like pretty much anything Steinman wrote. And Meat Loaf was able to carry his songs perfectly. The Meat Loaf albums without Steinman aren't great - some good stuff but I'd take the Steinman solo album over Meat Loaf albums.

Bat Out Of Hell 2 is my fave out of any of it. love that album.

People I know with LASIK and stare at screens all day for work are back in glasses 10-15 years later. People I know with LASIK that are retired or have jobs outside of an office have maintained perfect vision. I don't know if anyone else has similar observations or just my small world.

I'm still not buying the Switch Pro rumors. The Switch is setting sales records and has been on the market 4+ years. The longest Nintendo has ever gone between major console releases was 6 - they may as well ride out vanilla Switch into the next console.

As for the games, BotW2 looks awesome (it seems heavily influenced by TP and SS - just give us a massive ocean and we have our trifecta), but the fact that they're "hoping" for a 2022 release suggests Holiday 2022 is our best case scenario. That's 1.5 years away and 5.5 years after BotW. It's clear Covid delayed major game development by a solid year across the industry.

I feel like their hardware pipeline must be underutilized at this point, unless they've scaled back. New Switch just doesn't feel necessary this year though, I agree with that. Looking at 2021 games, there's really no reason for a Switch Pro. Nintendo hardware is always so compelling (either way!) so it's fun to think about what they'll do.

Botw2 does look cool from what they have been able to show us. I wonder at what point was Sky World in their design.

The Bucks playcalls at the end were baffling. KD was insane, almost Tatum levels of good. I wish they would fine Harden for flailing when he isn't fouled - it's no different than flopping. He's been especially hard to watch the past few years.

Boston's Pixies were a big part of the late 80s transition to alternative music. Everyone points out Nirvana, but I'll mention Toadies. I like Toadies more than Pixies, but listen to Doolittle and it's like, "ah that's where this came from". There's plenty of 90s music that snaps into place once you listen to Pixies - I admit I didn't really listen to them until the 90s were over.

I have about 5% or so in newer stocks that have had an IPO in the past year or two, just playing around, researching companies that have little public history and then getting bored and moving on. daddy needs a taste.

I should have bought in the 70s, for sure! The margins on Roblox are so insane compared to peers. But also don't be surprised if I sell in a month. There's plenty of reason to think it'll be anywhere 50-200 this time next year.

I'll say this, my kids now play with other kids in person again, but they play Roblox all the time and they don't want toys and books, they want Roblox, and when they play with their friends, they sometimes just play Roblox in the same room, etc.

I imagine Roblox does worse outside of the pandemic but having Roblox in my life for years now, I think it was a bigger "hey kids try this addictive thing" as opposed to just some dumb thing they did to kill time in quarantine. It's like 1.5% of my portfolio.

I split my Fubo into RBLX, NNOX and RKT, though I might bail out of RKT this week and put that into NNOX. Or the other way around.

Been loving my LI stock. That's been a big winner for me.
