They finished the storyline in about 16 hours, but they was rushing, skipping side content, and very underleveled. I don't know what that says about how easy it is, but I do know they died a lot in the process.

Also no, that doesn't appear to be in. One streamer who's beaten the game hasn't had it pop up at all.

So the common sentiment is TPC has massively under-advertised this game. As in, they were waaay too conservative in how much they've kept hidden in promo material.

It's interesting to see how many of us guessed rotor before getting the answer.

I just want to know if the game is actually fun.

People seem happy. There's 2 on 1 and even 3 on 1 wild battles. There's something called a distortion room or something that sometimes spits out stronger Pokemon at you to fight. One streamer died twice during the third noble battle. Adjustments to the battle system seem good. There appears to be more trainer battles than we were expecting. I saw a weird mini game where you're popping Drifblim balloons.

New status conditions and weather.

Frostbite: the same as burn, but it lowers Sp. Attack instead
Drowsy: the Pokemon may fail to act, also takes more damage from attacks
Obscured: increased evasion
Primed: attacks deal more damage
Fixated: the Pokmon is fixated on the last move it used. This move will deal increased damage while the fixation lasts, but any damage dealt to the fixated Pokmon is also increased.

Snow: Attacks are more likely to inflict frostbite, drowsy Pokemon are more likely to fail to act, Ice Pokemon have boosted Speed

Also strong sun boosts Speed of Grass types. Fog is back and works the same as always.

Jagged splinters is a new field effect, where Pokemon take damage at the end of each turn. Stealth Rock and other moves now have this effect.

Overqwil is great, Sneasler is lol.

Low level wild Pokemon don't seem to fight back much.

I don't really think of Marill as a Pikaclone, but I also don't really care one way or the other.

Also you can end up in a fight with multiple Pokemon at once.

One interesting change is Pokemon don't evolve automatically in this. Once they've hit the required level, you have to go to the menu and choose to evolve them.
