Now, the battle itself, that's one of the worst bits of season 8. Like holy shit, it's like the battle plans were drawn up by a 12 year old playing Rome: Total War for the first time.

Fucking hell, I'm the furthest thing from an expert on medieval combat but even I could tell they made literally every wrong tactical call there. You have seasoned commanders and tactician's there, and you know what the enemy is capable of.

Tbh one of the most memorable moments of the whole 8 seasons was watching the entire dothraki army charge into the undead horde and just immediately get demolished. My jaw was on the floor during that. And then funnier, these mofos were planning this charge before the red woman ignited their blades Even tho it was well established regular weapons wouldn't do anything.

Enlighten me. It would be a relief to know what measures are in place to prevent this nightmare scenario.
Voting "not guilty" despite there being overwhelming evidence is called jury nullification. It is allowed, in the sense that a jury's verdict is hardly ever questioned (except in extreme circumstances like where a juror may have been bribed or threatened). The only "safeguard" against it is that the lawyers in court are not allowed to tell them that they can nullify if they want, and there are likely instructions read by the judge that basically say "if the evidence proves he's guilty, you must find him guilty."

While I do agree that his trials should be televised, maybe it is for the best that they aren't. It would be a double edged sword if they were. On one side the American people would get to see it but on the other side Trump would use it to his advantage. He would have more incentive to show out and use the whole thing as a political campaign.

By not being on TV it really helps keep the trial to be about whether or not Donald Trump committed a crime.
People get heated when referees make unfavorable calls in sports. Imagine the claims that the system is rigged if every objection and evidentiary ruling were televised, and every armchair lawyer got to add their analysis.
