While I do agree that his trials should be televised, maybe it is for the best that they aren't. It would be a double edged sword if they were. On one side the American people would get to see it but on the other side Trump would use it to his advantage. He would have more incentive to show out and use the whole thing as a political campaign.

By not being on TV it really helps keep the trial to be about whether or not Donald Trump committed a crime.
People get heated when referees make unfavorable calls in sports. Imagine the claims that the system is rigged if every objection and evidentiary ruling were televised, and every armchair lawyer got to add their analysis.
