but the boon is the only factor (apart from getting the units themselves) out of those that is solely RNG/luck-based right? even if i get a 4*, i can eventually get that same 4* to 5* and even if i don't have all the skills i want at that moment, i can still eventually give that same unit all available necessary skills through chain inheriting and merging even if it takes a very long time. it's not a Pokemon egg move situation where if that particular Pokemon didn't learn a move through breeding, it can never learn it.

that would greatly simplify it.

and since you only get the stat boosts for merging if they're same rarity, this means i need 11 5* of the same unit?

so steps i need to take:

1. pull desired unit with correct nature
2. get to 5*
3. now with x1 unit at 5* i can treat this as the base unit going forward and all other copies can be used as source for merging. i don't have to worry about pulling the same unit with different stats that would have served as a better base since i already have one with the desired nature.
4. use other misc. non-x units to inherit skills as necessary and use 10 other 5* x units to merge on to original x1 unit
5. and do all that other stuff

ok so let me get this straight. people referring to IVs & natures are talking about the same game mechanic (3-4 increase/decrease in two select stats). the -stat can be "undone" through merging with a duplicate. so why are IV calculators out there if it shows you which stats are affected ingame? was that information just not always available in-game?

so to get the best possible version of that unit all you need is the correct +stat because all other variables (rarity, skills) are controllable through grinding? if i merge a 4 star with another 4 star to get rid of its bad stat, and then increase rarity it loses the stat bonuses but the bane stays away?

skills are basically like movepools and all of them are obtainable eventually? i can safely build towards having the theoretical best version of that unit as long as i get lucky with the nature and do the rest through grinding/inheriting/merging?

so i guess the question becomes, is it worth it training a unit to 5 star if they don't have the right +stat?

When you summon a unit there's a exclamation mark if it's the first time you've ever gotten them.

but does your hero catalogue show previously owned units or only the units on hand? does it work like an in-game Pokedex or do i need to have a living dex.

hey i just got this and been looking around some guides and had some questions.

been seeing terms like IVs & Nature and i'm familiar with them in Pokemon but as for this game, does this mean that if two people have the same unit at the same rarity & level, their stats could be different? and there's nothing you can do about it? like in pokemon, you would just have a bunch of the same mon, then check all their IVs and then choose which to train. is it like that here? i think i also saw it said somewhere that the max stats for a unit are set but rng affects the level-up gains?

if i started training a unit and then later pull the same unit with better IVs is that basically wasted exp or is there a way to transfer the progress on to that better IV unit? i saw about merging but that is just a stat increase to the same rarity unit?

i saw that you keep around dupes for traits or whatever. at how many dupes is it considered "safe" to start sending home?

is there any point in training a 3 star unit? i know you can increase the rarity but if the unit has a 3 & 4 star version, it would be better to just wait until possibly pulling a 4 star? disregarding the chance you could never pull them again.

if i send a hero home, is there some sort of indicator to show that i once had them?

yeah i've been having problems with ants too. it started last year during summer and they would usually be in the kitchen/bathroom. pest control got called and i was told that because it was so hot and dry they were just looking for water. they went away eventually. they came back this summer and it was the same deal. but this time they lasted longer and something new that happened was that i would now also find them swarming over the trash can in the bathroom. i was wondering what the fuck was going on and eventually figured out it was the tissues i jizzed into. that also never happened before. they were like evolving or some shit.
