Im so confused why people think theres a loophole in the first sentence that would somehow work against anchor babies. Is it the part that says subject to the jurisdiction thereof, that is confusing? I think thats just legalese for saying, if U.S. law applies to you. And U.S. law does apply to people born/naturalized in the U.S. unless they are like foreign diplomats or something like that.

I am a supporter of the Daylight Savings system too because even though it is dark earlier in the evening, waking up earlier feels better. Plus it is kind of annoying having to commute in the late afternoon with the setting sun casting long shadows everywhere.

Just think about abortion TC. People differ as to whether they think abortion is moral and in what circumstances it is moral. Some people want the law to reflect their moral views. In primitive societies, law and morality are hardly separate. But in modern societies, they have gotten way jumbled.

I feel like sometimes this works out, but I find that old people are just as dumb (well, dumber) as young people and jump into things too quickly without even really fully getting to get to know someone (a process that I believe, takes at least half a year).

There should be some low-cost/subsidized therapy. Besides, even if they don't tell you this upfront, you have the right to dump them whenever if you think that they are not helping you. You know they are good if you feel like they are definitely trying to understand your perspective.

idk, sounds more like inertia. Once people get used to a certain lifestyle, they kinda keep going with it. And, of course, when you have too much fucking time on your hands, you tend to do crazier stuff.

I think you have a good analysis here. People tend to go for more of what they like. So probably even if this guy didn't have a lot of many, he would still act like a party-animal player type.

Yes! I have an old Panasonic toughbook from 2007 with 2 Gb of RAM and running Windows 7 and that computer was snappier than my main five year old laptop with 4 Gb of RAM running Windows 10. Maybe its because it is a simpler system that hasnt become bloated with unused software and unnecessary updates, etc.
