Yes, but if someone is intimidated enough they won't use those tools. I've had to call HR on my own boss for how he was treating a co-worker. Co-worker was so new that he was too scared to report it himself.

9 years ago (Christ I feel old) I was dating a black girl. I was her first white guy and not very many of her friends liked me mostly because I'm white. On VD, I got her gifts and took her out, we had been dating for almost half a year by then. It was the first time anyone had done that for her, granted she had only seriously dated two others. Two of her friends saw how I spoiled her on VD and ended up dating white guys. We broke up a year later, like a week before Valentines Day.

A few years ago I started dating a girl at the Beginning of February and didn't know the proper etiquette for VD since we were still new. I ended up just getting her flowers, I couldn't go out because I was working that night. Later one of her friends told me that my gf was kinda disappointed in me for that lack luster Valentines Day. We broke up about four months later.

Never had Valentines Day sex, yet.

My boss is my friend but his hands are tied. Multiple times other employees have gone above his head to the plant manager. Our plant manager is a nice guy but he folds like a deck of cards when someone complains to him.

I worked with a guy from Canada and he said he liked that he can get a procedure done within a reasonable amount of time. He told me in Canada it could take months to get an appointment.

Not likely to happen. The company I work for has almost completely eradicated accountability. As long as the lazies say they were being safe then there's almost nothing my bosses can do.

Our company is very big on anti-harassment and safety. If I went off like that I'd probably get in big trouble. Our supervisors can't even tell someone to get to work because it can be seen as rushing someone and rushing is unsafe.

You end up getting all the shit/hard jobs because they know you will actually do them and not complain. I work in a factory that makes silicon rubber and everyday for the past two weeks I've had to run the messiest, hardest to do, jobs. My boss (whom I'm friends with) has said before he likes that I don't complain. A lot of my co workers don't like me because they think I get preferential treatment. I'll do whatever because it's part of my job but it would be nice to have a break and do an easy job for the day. But the last time I got put on an easy job, one of the laziest guys that work there threw a fit that he had to actually work and even went above my bosses head to get us switched. Any time I get a commendation for a job well done, most just assume I kissed ass to get it.

tl/dr: I wish we could fire all the lazy asses.

Last Friday I ordered a gift for the niece's birthday this upcoming Friday with an estimated delivery time of today (Wednesday). Monday I got an update saying the package was damaged and it was being returned to the warehouse and that I would be refunded. I then immediately ordered another gift that was set to deliver Friday. Today I got home from work and the gift I ordered the first time had arrived and yes there was some damage to the box but nothing major.

Should I return it or contact Amazon? Keep it?
