I think It could be amazing if they managed to do this properly. My idea would be something like a mix of the soul matrix and mementos, combing both and tying them together with the story. Like if the soul matrix was connected throughout relationships/confidants/social links, and even just the everyday people and the ones the phantom theives helped, kinda like a giant tree, with one leading into another, and that would be tied together with story and side quests. Maybe even the bosses could have special ones that are like leaves from the fallen tree, possibly allowing players to not only learn more about their back story if the want, but maybe facing them for special things, like monsters you can only get through that boss, or special items, maybe even moves. What does CE think about this idea? Or just the/a soul matrix like concept in future persona games?
