I understand why people think like that because it's not an important job in the grand scheme of society but people are paying good money to be entertained by them and if they're not getting paid all that then it's just going to the pockets of the owners and that doesn't sit right with me at all.

While the contract Caitlin Clark signed is a pittance, please don't do that to her. Steph has been an international superstar sharpshooter for the last decade and has brought untold revenue to the NBA not to talk of his 4 championships. I expect great things from her in the WNBA but comparing her to Steph like that is unfair.

By design reddit creates these weird little bubbles of people and curates content based on what most of them want to read or think is correct. You sort of have to be the baby bear to goldilocks' passion/knowledge on any topic if you want to fit in. Can't be too passionate, can't be unpassionate, you have to know just enough to sound impressive to a layperson but not know so much that you make others feel intimidated.

So in your situation, you asked a simple question but that was probably annoying for the regulars of that sub that have these rules about content. Maybe they expect you to do a search or read the wiki.

I get what you want, for some people it's hard to have self control so if you still have access to CE you're going to be compelled to still post here. Since it's now a private board you should be given the option to be kicked out if you want. I doubt it but maybe ask one of the admins if they can grant you that... can mods kick people here though?

It depends on certain factors, what was the original purpose of the forum? Is it just a general forum where almost anything goes?

If it's the latter when why should it close down just because it turned into memes and shit posts? If it's the former then maybe, even then it depends. If it's like a Pokemon forum (as an example) and the forum is filled with Pokemon related memes and shit posts then fair game.

Also it also depends on who created the forum and the rules in place, if they don't want memes and shit posts then it's easy to create rules in place to prevent that tbh

Because these pitchers are killing themselves by pitching max effort every time. Look at degrom, throwing 100 pitches with triple digits heat every fifth day is not good for the body, hell pitching itself isn't good but these players are pushing it to the limit, no wonder why they only last like 5 innings and get hurt all the time, they just go full throttle.

Then these old heads bitch and moan how pitchers these days are wimps that can only last 5 innings knowing damn well that most pitchers back then threw in the high 80s/low 90s and that 95 was considered exceptional and with bullpens back then being absolutely shit.
