Topic	Should a forum close down if it's just degenerated into memes and shitposts?

If it's the latter when why should it close down just because it turned into memes and shit posts? If it's the former then maybe, even then it depends. If it's like a Pokemon forum (as an example) and the forum is filled with Pokemon related memes and shit posts then fair game.
